2025 Football for Life
Amputee Football Tournament in U.K.

Our Football for Life initiative returns to the UK for our annual Amputee Football Tournament on April 18th. Special thanks to our partners Tackling Matters and the Sandhurst Royal Military Academy, who are co-hosting the 2025 event. Dozens of incredible amputee athletes from England, Ireland and Ukraine will gather of one of the largest amputee football tournaments.

Donations and funds will go towards building seven a side amputee football facilities in conflict affected regions. Currently a number of concept designs are being developed in our “Architecture in Crisis” studio at the University of Buffalo, with input from amputee players in the UK, USA and Ukraine.

Since 2023 our coalition of small organizations have volunteered to deliver over 20 sports fields in Ukraine and currently we have another 20 on route.

Support the tournament by donating or registering for a ticket here.

The world is changing.

If you look at the state of the planet, it is easy to feel like we’ve lost our ability to care for the place we collectively inhabit. From man-made conflicts to our inability to rebuild after natural disasters, it appears we spend more time justifying destruction than investing in tangible solutions. Our future not only depends on how compassionate we are to our environment but how creative we are to successfully adapt to the changes.

The world is changing and it desperately needs thoughtful and impassioned builders. The Worldchanging Institute is a global research and development organization focused on solutions to the most pressing social and humanitarian challenges of our time.

We partner with social ventures, cultural institutions, non-profits and foundations to implement hyper local building solutions. We work in community development, historic preservation. cultural conservation and reconstruction programs.

Currently we are focused on four initiatives;

  1. Football for Life - Developing and Building Facilities to Support Rehabilitation Through Sports

  2. Design Diplomacy - Researching the overlap between international diplomacy and the built environment

  3. Resilient Housing - Developing programs to support Pacific Atolls and Islands

  4. Design Like You Give A Damn - Research on Humanitarian Design Solutions Around the World.
