In early June, Veterans Coalition International honored Football for Life and Program Lead Liam. Sullivan at the Salute to Bravery awards in London, UK. We were honored to be joined by individuals, groups and institutions from a dozen countries, all supporting veterans as they give back around the world.
Additionally, our coalition of partners completed our 50th youth sports field in Ukraine. These ‘acupuncture’ projects are a vessel of change and hope for conflict affected communities. This year, with your help, we are committed to develop and build a community sports facility and rehabilitation center in the Carpathian mountains of western Ukraine.
Our Partners
We work with local partners to develop and build a local sports ecosystems, including facilities to increase sports activities among youth and disadvantaged populations. These include local and international organizations, social entrepreneurs and construction professionals.
“This is more than just a game; it’s a testament to the power of sport to unite communities in crisis.”
Since 2002 our team has been working with communities to design and build sports facilities in post-disaster and post-conflict communities.
From Afghanistan to Ukraine, our team has built football facilities, basketball courts, paddleball courts, rugby fields, skateboard parks and baseball fields.
Almost half a million people use, work and play in sports facilities built by our team.
